Recently, “the Belt and Road” African Economic Promotion Association and Xiangnan International Logistics Park signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement at Chenzhou International Land Port, marking a new stage of Chenzhou International Land Port’s trade cooperation with Africa.
On that morning, Ma Zhiming, Chairman of “the Belt and Road” African Economic Promotion Association, and his delegation visited the Planning Exhibition Hall at Chenzhou International Land Port, Cross-border E-commerce Operation Exhibition Center, Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-sea Intermodal Transport Railway Station and Yard, etc.
On the afternoon, “the Belt and Road” African Economic Promotion Association, the Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Xiangnan International Logistics Park and Baifu Logistics held a forum on Chenzhou-Africa economic and trade cooperation at Chenzhou International Inland Port. The two sides exchanged their views on industrial cooperation, channel construction, project development, etc.
In the future, given the industrial advantages of Chenzhou’s smelting capacity and mineral products trade, the two sides will carry out the import trade of non-ferrous metal mineral products. The Chenzhou-Africa trade channels, including overseas warehouses and African commodity exhibition center, will be established. The export trade of Chenzhou’s agricultural products and other goods as well as the import trade of African raw timber will be promoted, establishing a two-way trade channel for Chenzhou-Africa import and export.
Chenzhou International Land Port has continued efforts in building a large platform for trade with Africa, bringing African goods into Hunan and Chenzhou products into overseas markets.
The first batch of imported ore worth 8 million yuan purchased from Nigeria will arrive at Chenzhou International Land Port in late February through the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transport channel.
Chenzhou International Land Port has invested in the construction of non-ferrous metal ore yards and mineral processing lines in Nigeria (Lagos), and has carried out second-hand car market research in coastal countries in Africa like Nigeria, Senegal, Angola, Mozambique and Kenya.
Relying on Chenzhou’s pilot area of China-Africa in-depth economic and trade cooperation and the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transport channel, Xiangnan International Logistics Park will work hard to build a new model of trade with Africa in the inland region.
